FundaMental™ - Tactile Learning WEBINAR

A short introduction to tactile cognitive training and learning

(for more info: www.fundamental-learning.dk)

Introduction

Fundamental Tactile Learning (FTL) is a specially developed tactile training program that - in combination with the special designed tactile material kit - gives teachers, parents and therapists a unique opportunity to investigate and develop the child´s internal cognitive processes that are usually "invisible" .

FTL is especially useful for children who have challenges with their cognitive development and learning, but can also play a significant role in enriching the learning and development of children in general. Children´s perception and thinking today are often dominated by fast and simultaneous information gathering and processing, influenced by media and screens at the expense of slower, more thorough and sequential ("one-thing-at-a-time") information processing. Both types of cognitive processing are important, but for many children the sidedness and the deficiency become barriers to learning and cognitive development.

Target group

The webinar is specially aimed at professionals (teachers, therapists, cognitive trainers, pedagogues, occupational therapists) who work with younger children and children with learning difficulties, but it can also be relevant for parents homeschooling and other people interested in children´s learning and development who need inspiration about how to work with childen’s challenges.

Content, purpose and outcome of the webinar
The webinar will provide participants with a short introduction to the method, the material and some of the possibilities that this method offers.
