Event Description

This is a rare opportunity to hear about dynamic assessment from one of the leading figures in the field of mediated learning and dynamic assessment, David Tzuriel - highly productive both within the field of research and development of clinical dynamic assessment tools building on mediated learning.

David Tzuriel has conducted loads of research on Mediated Learning and Dynamic Assessment, has teached on countless of workshops around the world and has developed a whole range of Dynamic Assessment tools for younger children.

Content of the webinar
The webinar will include the following topics:
  • Introduction, what is Dynamic Assessment (DA), the historical backgound and different ways and methods in DA

  • What information does DA add to static testing - Why and how is DA relevant?

  • Research overview: What is the current status of scientific research in DA? How does it support the use of DA?

  • What is the main criticism that is directed towards DA? What does this criticism imply as relevant future development of DA?

  • Some practical examples of DA


About the teacher
David Tzuriel will be the teacher on the webinar.

David Tzuriel, Ph.D. is a clinical and educational psychologist and an expert on dynamic assessment (DA) of learning potential. He received his Ph.D. from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University in 1977 and currently is Professor Emeritus at Bar-Ilan University. He served as the President of the International Association for Cognitive Education and Psychology (1999-2001) and as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cognitive Education and Psychology (2006-2011).

His scientific work is related to empirical validation, implementation, and modification of the theories of Feuerstein and Vygotsky. He has published many studies and books in the field of DA, mediated learning experience, and cognitive education programs, as well as 7 dynamic assessment tests for young children that are used all over the world.

David Tzuriel is known as a leader and developer of the DA movement and taught more than 190 international workshops around the world.

Participants
The webinar is specifically aimed for people with no or only little experience with dynamic assessent, who are interested to know more and decide if they should dive into this field through further workshop participation etc. The webinar is relevant to anyone who works with assessment of children´s or adolescent´s abilities.

Price

Webinar fee for international participants is 400 DKK (Danish currency). For Danish participants, there will be added 25 % local VAT.


Technical platform and prerequisites for online participation
The webinar is offered through Zoom Meeting platform. It is a prerequisite for webinar participation, that you have a well-functioning webcam and microphone solution and can join the course through a computer.
